Mobile Safety; everyone’s need.
“When I lost you I lost myself, I said to my cellphone.
Walk and talk might be a great idea but you might end up losing something other than calories. Your phone, for instance. According to the police, from January to July this year, over 20,638 phones were reported stolen in Delhi. And if these numbers are anything to go by, then chances are high that by the end of the year, your phone could join this list.
If you read any newspaper front page story titled ‘Cellphone Thefts Grown’ you would learn that the “new nationwide database for stolen cellphones, which tracks a phone’s unique identifying number to prevent it from being activated, theoretically discouraging thefts…has not helped stanch the ever-rising numbers of phone thefts, in part because many stolen phones end up overseas, out of the database’s reach, and in part because the identifiers are easily modified.

Many users don’t secure their phones. Almost 40% users don’t take minimal security measures. The impact caused by the loss of a mobile device to its owner can be devastating. Along with the financial impact, the loss of the data, and the potential risk of identity theft, the sense of violation compounds the loss even further. This post will outline about mobile phone thefts and how to prevent them.
Coronavirus has been really harsh on the financial condition of the people. People have came to the point of snatching phones. According to crime rate the rate of phone snatching is increasing day by day. So everyone are avoiding buying the expensive phones that also leads in downfall of the cellphones company.

According to this chart, there is an average 25% increase in snatching and increase in 7% of pending actions. Overall there is a huge increase in snatching as compare to other crimes.
Currently, there are a lot of platforms on where people can find there cellphones with using phone finding apps, like many apps are available on the app stores like; Find my device, find my iPhone and many more.

After this we were briefed to take up one aspect each from this topic and work on it individually and find a solution for it.
While discussing it with my professor I realized that the feedback of the user was impossible to get in these trying conditions which would affect my research part, Hence, I brainstormed on some different ideas and decided to come with an idea.
So I chosen PHONE SAFETY as my topic in my project as I believe that there is a lack of awareness in the society regarding the phone safety and therefore I have come up with wireframes for an app which will help in finding any phone or any devices like air pods, and can find anything just by inserting a chips like TILE which will get connected to the app help to find your lost things. By this we can low down the rate of robberies and snatching. It also help in sharing the locations to your trust ones so that it also helps in women safety.
Below are the wireframes in a story format which will help you understand the working of the app.

I also came up with high fidelity mockups for the app.
